Coding for complex cataract surgery can be confusing.  This course, which runs 13 minutes including review questions, covers the pertinent details related to proper documentation requirements for the use of the CPT 66982 code.  Although payer policies may differ, the all of the information required for deciding when to properly use the complex cataract surgery code is included.  A review of current lens-extraction and intraocular lens (IOL) codes is also provided for comparison so that the learner appreciates the entire range of lens-related CPT coding.
