Regional Conference: CMS Quality Payment Program
This full-day course has two sections: CMS’ Quality Payment Program (morning) and Medicare Updates (afternoon).
CMS’ Quality Payment Program (QPP) becomes effective January 1, 2017 and represents a titanic shift away from the traditional fee-for-service payment methodology. Its goals of higher quality healthcare and lower cost are universally desired.
The morning session explains the Quality Payment Program, the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System, and the Advanced Alternative Payment Models for eye care. Under MIPS in 2017, it is possible to achieve a bonus, suffer a penalty, or be neutral (neither bonus nor penalty). We explain exactly how it works, and provide a roadmap for you to succeed moving forward.
2017 is just the beginning. In the next three years, bonuses and penalties increase significantly. This course will help you develop your best strategy to cope with reduced fee-for-service payments. Get started now! Developing and implementing your strategy will take time.
The afternoon session addresses Corcoran Consulting’s recent experience with post-payment audits, the recent substantial changes made to ICD-10, and the coding/reimbursement changes expected for 2017. It’s up-to-date, critical information you need to manage your practice. Come learn from our expert instructor – you’ll be glad you did.
