2009 E-Prescribing Bonus Feedback Reports

Many providers have received their bonus checks for electronic prescribing (E-Rx) for participation in 2009. The bonus payments arrive with little detail and many providers want more of an explanation.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has published that feedback reports specific to the 2009 E-prescribing bonus will be available in November although no specific date was given. Access to reports utilizes the same system used for the PQRI feedback reports. The following CMS link provides instructions on how to access Individuals Authorized Access to the CMS Computer Services (IACS) system and associated reports. Access requires advance preparation and is not immediate. We recommend review of these instructions and careful completion of the required steps to reduce frustration in securing your feedback reports.
