ASC Quality Reporting Results
Ambulatory Surgery Centers began participating in the ASC Quality Reporting Program in October 2012. Last week, CMS published the list of ASCs meeting the reporting requirements for calendar year 2015 and those that did not meet them. Successful reporters will receive the full facility reimbursements in 2015, including a 1.4% update. Nonparticipation or failure to meet the necessary requirements results in a 2% reduction to facility Medicare reimbursement in 2015. More than ninety-eight percent (98.9%) of ASCs reported successfully.
