CMS Extends Holding Claims

Your Medicare claims dated June 1 and beyond will continue to be held by your Medicare contractor through Thursday, June 17, 2010, according to CMS’ announcement earlier today. Contractors have been holding claims awaiting Congressional activity regarding the 21.2% pay cut. Hopefully, Congress will act in the next few days and contractors will not be forced to pay claims at the reduced rate.
