Correction to 2009 Medicare Facility Fee Schedule

The January 26, 2009 Federal Register contains a fee schedule change to the 2009 Medicare reimbursement rates for hospital out patient departments (HOPD) and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).

The correction is a payment status change for the new HCPCS code J3300, Triamcinolone A, preservative free. The original publication packaged the drug payment into the facility fee for both the HOPD and the ASC. The correction notice changes the status allowing for separate reimbursement of the drug. The published payment rate is $3.18 per 1 mg.
