Deadline Extended for PQRS Informal Review Request

Did you receive a letter indicating failure with PQRS for 2014 resulting in a 2% penalty in 2016?  If you think you received this notification in error and were a successful participant, CMS has extended your opportunity to request an informal review.

Eligible professionals could avoid a penalty in 2016 by successfully reporting three measures in 2014.  PQRS bonus payments were made to those who successfully reported nine measures across three domains.

The deadline for requesting a review of your 2014 PQRS report has been extended through December 11, 2015.  This is an extension from the November 23, 2015 deadline previously published.

All informal review requests must be submitted electronically via the Quality Reporting Communication Support Page (CSP) available through December 11, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

“All informal review requestors will be contacted via email of a final decision by CMS within 90 days of the original request for an informal review. All decisions will be final and there will be no further review.”
