New PQRI Measures
Beginning July 1, 2008, and continuing through September 30, 2008, providers may report three new ophthalmic quality measures as a test for CMS. There is no financial incentive associated with these quality measures. No feedback reports will be issued for these measures. We expect them to be included in future PQRI programs. The applicable quality measures are:
Measure
#T13 |
Cataract | Comprehensive Preoperative Assessment for Cataract Surgery with Intraocular Lens (IOL) Placement
|
Measure #T140 | AMD | Age-Related Macular Degeneration: Counseling on Antioxidant Supplement
|
Measure #T141 | POAG | Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma: Reduction of Intraocular Pressure (IOP) by 15% OR Documentation of a Plan of Care |
Additional information on reporting these test measures can be found at: www.cms.hhs.gov/PQRI/Downloads/PQRI2008TestMeasureSpecifications.pdf
