Noridian Medicare Made Duplicate Payments

Many medical practices have taken advantage of the CMS Accelerated and Advanced Payment Program for Providers and Suppliers during the Covid-19 Emergency, and several ophthalmic practices have reported receiving funds.   As with any large government program involving payments to individuals or businesses, errors can occur.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology reported that at least one Medicare Administrative Contractor, Noridian Healthcare Solutions, has made duplicate payments to some providers; they have now addressed this.

Medicare Part B providers and suppliers reimbursed by Noridian were instructed to reach out to Noridian’s Provider Relations department and contact Kari DuPreez if duplicative Advanced Payments are received.  Her contact information is provided here:
