PQRS Interim Reports

Are your submissions of PQRS measure codes being captured so that you will not face a payment penalty in 2016?  Practices submitting PQRS codes on individual claims need to monitor their progress throughout the year to ensure success.  When PQRS was first introduced, no official interim reporting existed so practices were responsible for tracking their progress internally or waiting until the fall of the subsequent year to find out if they had been successful PQRS reporters.  Thankfully, CMS recognized the need for interim reporting and now makes individual data available quarterly.  With penalties increasing each year beginning in 2015, and the link between the PQRS program and the Value Based Modifier Program, it is critical that all efforts be made to successfully report PQRS measures.

CMS reports on their website that the 2014 PQRS 2nd Quarter Interim Feedback Dashboard Reports are now available. They provide data on claims-based reporting from January 1 – June 30, 2014.

The CMS website reports the following information to assist in accessing your reports.

“The 2014 Interim Feedback Dashboard User Guide is designed to assist EPs with accessing and interpreting the 2014 interim dashboard data. If needed, please contact the QualityNet Help Desk for assistance at 866-288-8912 (TTY 877-715-6222) or at qnetsupport@hcqis.org from7am to 7pm CT Monday through Friday.”
