The chief complaint is extremely important to ophthalmologists, optometrists and their staff because it helps to determine who is responsible for payment.  The viewer learns how to document a chief complaint and what makes it different from other parts of the medical history, particularly the history of present illness (HPI).  This eLearning program runs 14 minutes.  Review questions are presented and discussed at the conclusion of the course.
